Minutes of March meeting of ‘Buckley & District Reds’


APRIL Meeting


Present:- T.Williams /B.Jones / T.Whitfield / G.Reynolds / J.Connah / C.Hayes / R.Ellis / Andy Kelsall / Allan Kelsall / D.Kelsall.

 

Meeting convened 20.00

Minutes of previous meeting read & agreed as accurate.

 

  1. Dave presented the Treasurer’s report. We currently have £869 in our account but will be presenting £200 to the club imminently as the 2nd instalment of this year’s sponsorship.


  1. Our 8 a side team did particularly well in reaching the final of the recent tournament at Gresford, where they went down 1-0 to the past players team.


  1. Martyn Edge won a Penalty competition in the last match of the season, and won himself a season ticket for next year.


  1. The ‘Player of the Season’ trophy is organised and it looks likely that Andy Fleming will win this. It was also agreed to present Geraint with a trophy for his help in various activities over the last few seasons.


  1. The membership cards were discussed and we may go back to our old ‘personal’ one. To discuss progress of existing cards and the problems at next WSF meeting.


  1. We agreed to go back to the sponsoring of a player’s shirt for next season. Andy Mangan is the preferred candidate.


  1. We will probably be manning the ‘Goal Board’ again this Summer at Buckley. Tony to make new board as the old one is a bit worse for wear.


  1. Bryn gave details of the quiz organised in support of the Honeyrose Foundation.


FUNDRAISERS


  1. Tony explained how the World Cup draw was to be run. This is being run By WSF with all supporters groups selling envelopes.

  2. We are to run a ‘special’ Forecast for the World Cup & details sent to every member. Member selling most forecast sheets to win next year’s shirt.


Meeting ended 21.45. No date decided for next meeting.
